Coventry Blaze scored two goals in the final ten minutes to earn a late road win in Fife, avenging a defeat to the Flyers in November where the hosts won the game inside the last five minutes.
Casey Gilling had the only goal of period one at 11:40, and with 3:45 played in the second Sean Giles doubled the home side's lead. JD Dudek pulled one back for the Blaze 45 seconds later.
The hosts' lead held until inside the final 15 minutes of the game - Kobe Roth tied things up at 46:15 off a loose puck in close. With 8:08 to play and the Blaze peppering Shane Owen with shots, Alexander Kuqali slapped a shot past the Flyers netminder from the point to put the Blaze ahead for the first time in the game. Blake Thompson was called for Interference with 2:44 remaining, and Owen pulled a minute later to give the Flyers a 6-on-4 advantage, but to no avail. Alessio Luciani settled the game with an empty-netter with 1:27 to play.
