There are two places left in the Semi-Finals of the 2023/24 Challenge Cup, and this Wednesday night will decide who gets them.
League leaders Sheffield Steelers have a four-goal head start against Manchester Storm at the Utilita Arena as they look to book their place in the Semi-Finals for the another season. Since winning the trophy in 2020, Aaron Fox's team have consistently made the penultimate stage of the tournament but have yet to get back into the Final itself. Their 5-1 win in Manchester means Storm will need to win tonight's game by four goals just to force overtime - a feat in itself, with Manchester not having won in Sheffield for over four years.

In Belfast, it's a much simpler take for both the Giants and Coventry Blaze: win the game. The two sides tied 1-1 at the Skydome last week to set up a 'winner takes all' clash at the SSE Arena. It's a straight shootout, and whoever wins the game on the night will progress to the Semi-Finals, be that in regulation, overtime or indeed a shootout. Belfast are double defending cup champions, while the Blaze have not made the penultimate stage since 2014/15,
