After a difficult start to the season, the Flames have picked up 23 points from the last 30 on offer - trailing only leaders Sheffield - to climb up to third overall in the table. A win here would put the Flames second outright Paul Dixon's team have dropped just one of their last seven games, and this weekend also play the first leg of their Challenge Cup Semi-Final.
Coventry Blaze won their only game of last weekend in overtime, coming from 3-0 behind against Fife in the process. They head into their 27th game of the season in sixth with a win putting them ahead of Dundee in fifth. After tonight, the Blaze will have played exactly half of their league fixtures this season.
Of the six games between the teams this season, Guildford have won five.
