'Road Blokes' top Europe for away records

Sheffield Steelers' away form this season isn't just out-performing teams in the Elite League.

The self-named 'Road Blokes' have yet to lose an away fixtures so far this season, and have not only the best road record in the EIHL, but in Europe.

Sheffield's 100% road record is unmatched by any teams across Europe's top professional leagues. Only Rouen in France come close, having picked up 83.33% of road points available to them with 40/48 collected in 16 games. 

Norwegian side Storhamar come next with 82.35% , while Dynamo Pardubice and Sparta Prague (both Czechia) and Eisbären Berlin have totalled 44 points from 19 road games - good for 77.19% collected away from home.

The Steelers head to Fife on Saturday night looking to extend their record to 14 straight EIHL league games without loss. Throw in their Challenge Cup matches, and their season record goes up to 18 games undefeated away from the Utilita Arena so far.
