Clan snap losing streak against Blaze

Glasgow Clan ended their losing streak with a Friday night, home win against Coventry Blaze - the first time this season that these teams didn't go beyond 60 minutes after five previous meetings.
Whatever Jason Morgan said in his pre-game team-talk definitely had the desired effect. Clan were ahead after just 21 seconds through captain Dyson Stevenson - a lead they held into the break. The Blaze had a possible goal reviewed, but the play was with a high stick.
Exactly four minutes into period two, Ian McNulty tied things up at one each. Less than 90 seconds later, Clan thought they'd got the puck over the line but video review said otherwise. At 29:13, Gary Haden's shot not only beat Taran Kozun from the wing but went into the net and straight back out again to give Clan the lead.
Michael Pelech then beat Kozun through a screen at 38:13 to put the hosts two ahead.
Tyler Kirkup got the visitors back to within one with 6:19 to play, and Danny Stewart then pulled Kozun for the extra skater with 2:16 to play. Robert Lachowicz ensured Clan's win with the empty-netter at 59:25 to settle the game.
