Fife Flyers play their second Friday night home game of the season with the visit of Manchester Storm to Fife Ice Arena.

The hosts, ninth, find themselves three points behind Storm in seventh, and two off the playoffs, but having played more games than the teams they're chasing. Fife have only 13 games left including tonight as they look to haul themselves into the top eight. After going on a three-game winning run, the Flyers have lost their last three fixtures but, crucially, did still pick up a point in the previous two.

Manchester ended a lengthy losing run with two straight home wins last week, but were shut out in Belfast on Sunday.

The Flyers have picked up 21 points from 19 home fixtures so far this season, while Storm have only 16 from 20 games on the road. If special teams are to play a part, while both teams are in the league's top five for penalty kills, they sit in the bottom two for powerplays - Fife on 19.17%, while Storm convert just 17.24% of their PP opportunities.
