Sheffield Steelers have still yet to lose two games this season after responding to Saturday night's defeat by Manchester Storm with a four-goal win on the road against Dundee Stars.
Mitchell Balmas slotted home Daniel Ciampini's pass in front at 4:39 to open the scoring with the only goal of the first period.
Carter Johnson went close for levelling for the Stars early in period two, only for Mikko Juusola to finish nicely at the other end and put the Steelers two ahead on the very next play at 25:39. Good work from Craig Garrigan behind Matt Greenfield's net led to the Stars forward poking the puck over the line off a Jonathan McBean and James Phelan combination at 30:!5 to get the hosts back to within one, but the Steelers were back two ahead at 33:25 when Balmas converted a penalty shot after Kyle Pouncy's hook. Cole Shudra put the visitors 4-1 ahead with 1:24 left in the period.
Josh Nicholls rounded off the scoring on a 2-on-0 rush off an excellent pass from Juusola who was being hooked by Ryan Valentini.
