Wednesday: League title on the line

The Elite League trophy will be at the Vindico Arena in Cardiff this Wednesday evening, but whether it comes out of its flight case or not will be decided on the ice.
Sheffield Steelers need a regulation win to secure this season's league title, their first since 2015/16. Any other result would see the title race extended - click here to check out the maths behind that. The Devils will be aiming to stop them from doing so as they aim to keep their slim league title chances alive, and also ensure they finish second overall. Both teams have a win each from meetings in Wales so far this season.

In Dundee, the Stars host Guildford Flames in a clash between two teams that have been out of sorts of late. The Stars now find themselves outside the playoff places with only eight games left to turn that around, although they do have games in hand on the teams above them. Guildford's record of just two wins in some 12 games has seen them fall to fifth, and they could be dragged into the fight for playoff places if that slide doesn't end soon.
