Six more teams enter pre-season

It's a big night of pre-season action with six teams hitting the ice for the first time this season.

Belfast Giants, Dundee Stars, Fife Flyers, Manchester Storm, Nottingham Panthers and Sheffield Steelers all take to the ice for the first time this pre-season.

The Giants will face Cardiff in Belfast, with the Devils already having three games under their belts so far this season. They'll then travel to Cardiff on Sunday to face Team GB as part of the Olympic Qualification preparations.

Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers will played a home and home series this weekend as fans on the east coast of Scotland get their first taste of hockey returning for the new season. 

Danny Stewart will make his debut as Nottingham Panthers Head Coach on home ice with the Panthers playing Université du Québec - Trois-Rivières. The visiting Canadian side will face Manchester on Sunday before heading to Scotland next weekend for further games.

In Altrincham, the Storm will face reigning grand slam champions Sheffield Steelers for their pre-season opener. It's a double-header home weekend for Manchester, who will also play UQTR on Sunday evening. The Steelers will return to Sheffield on Monday to face Nottingham in iceSheffield.
