The 2024/25 season starts this weekend! Just 140 days after the Sheffield Steelers completed a grand slam at the 2024 Playoff Finals Weekend, six teams will be back on the ice to start their new campaigns.
Sheffield, meanwhile, will have an early jump on getting back to competitive action. The Steelers begin their Champions Hockey League league-phase on Thursday in Switzerland, taking on Fribourg-Gottéron at the BCF Arena. They'll head to the Vida Arena in Växjö, Sweden, for their second game on Saturday.
The Elite League's first competitive games of the new season take place on Saturday night. Dundee Stars face Belfast Giants and Manchester Storm host Guildford Flames - both games starting at 7pm. Fifteen minutes later, Fife Flyers will faceoff against Glasgow Clan under new Head Coach Corey Neilson.
The Giants stay in Scotland and head to Fife on Sunday, while Clan will play Dundee. Down south, Guildford will play their first home competitive game of the season with a reversal against Manchester.
