Sheffield Steelers return home for Champions Hockey League action with the competition's average attendance for the season ready to be hit by a wall of orange.
The Steelers have already sold over 7,000 tickets for Friday's encounter with Sparta Prague of Czechia. Sparta currently have the CHL's highest average attendance of 5,156 after two home games.
Aaron Fox's team's impressive road performances, including a first ever win for an EIHL team in Sweden, saw that number continue to rise heading into the new week. The game will faceoff at 7pm. Sparta were beaten in a shootout by 2023 champions Tappara Tampere and then edged past Fehérvár AV19 of Hungary (representing ICEHL) on Sunday in the final period.
Tickets for the Steelers' home CHL games are £13 including fees, and can be purchased online here.
On Sunday afternoon, the Steelers host Skellefteå AIK of Sweden. They were beaten in a shootout by Straubing (Germany) on Game Day 1 before narrowly beating Red Bull Salzburg on Sunday 4-3 in Austria.
