Devils perfect on opening weekend

Cardiff Devils couldn't have asked for a better weekend to open their season, picking up a full four points after Sunday's victory in Guildford follwoed up a win on Saturday night.
The Welsh side did it the hard way after falling behind to a Matt Alvaro finish after just 21 seconds when he was left all alone in front of Bowns’ net.
That good start for the Flames was cancelled out through Brett Perlini's goal powerplay five minutes later to level things.
Period two was where the Devils took over with three goals in under four minutes completely changing the complexion of the game. Zach O'Brien was given time in the slot to pick his spot past Eamon McAdam 1:57 into the second, followed by Evan Mosey finishing a 2-on-0 breakaway at 23:53. Joey Martin, who is on track to take the league's all-time scoring record for a non-homegrown player this season, moved another point closer to Jeff Legue's total with the Devils' fourth at 25:37.
Lewis Hook neatly finished after picking up a Ryan Tait pass at 27:03, but Ryan Barrow struck back just over seven minutes later to keep the Devils three ahead heading into the final period.
Ben Davies scored the only goal of a bad-tempered third that saw four majors called inside the final three minutes.
