Friday: Devils look to continue perfect start against road-strong Storm

Cardiff Devils start Week 4's action in the 2024/25 Elite Ice Hockey League season with their first Friday night home game of the new campaign.

The Devils host Manchester Storm, the team they beat on the road exactly seven days ago. That defeat for Storm continued their run of no home wins over Cardiff in four years, however they have logged a win in Cardiff in each of the previous two seasons.

For two successive weeks, Storm were defeated on home ice on Friday night but came away from Scotland with a victory the following night. They have a .500 record in six games so far this season, but with only two points from four Cup games their chances of making the Semi-Finals are slowly slipping away.

Cardiff have yet to lose this season with two perfect weekends behind them. Both themselves and Sheffield Steelers have two wins from as many Cup games, behind Nottingham Panthers who have won all four of their fixtures so far.
