Wednesday: First Neilson clash of the season

The first midweek action of the 2024/25 season comes from Braehead Arena with Glasgow Clan taking on Nottingham Panthers on Wednesday night.

The meetings between the teams this season will take on an extra family edge with Clan head coach Corey Neilson coaching against one of his sons, Logan. Son Cade joined the Clan on a temporary deal to start the season and will also feature tonight.

Both teams going into this fixture without League points. Clan have lost all three of their League fixtures so far, while the Panthers have only played Cup games to date - winning five out of six. Clan came out of last weekend with a loss in Cardiff and a win in Dundee to leave them with two wins from seven games so far in all competitions.

The game also sees coach Neilson coaching against the Panthers for the first time. The 48-year-old was coach of the Panthers from 2008-2018, and then came back for a brief spell in 2022/23.
