Fife Flyers logged their first league win at the fourth attemps thanks to a 3-2 win over Manchester Storm at Fife Ice Arena.

Phelix Martineau opened the scoring at 2:44, assisted by Martin Látal playing his first game of the season. Gianluca Estevez tied it for the visitors at 14:36 as the opening period ended all square.

The teams, who split 11 goals a few weeks ago, were tied through 40 minutes, too. Martineau put the hosts into the lead again at 27:54, netting a rebound from a Tyler Heidt shot, but Tyler Hinam equalised for Storm this time with 4:40 left in the period to keep things even.

What turned out to be the game's winning goal came with 6:42 to play in the third. Michael Cichy broke 2-on-1 and used Lucas Chiodo as a decoy before firing high past Evan Weninger to put the Flyers ahead for the third time on the night. Storm called a timeout with 2:04 to go, but they couldn't find another equaliser and went down tot heir second defeat of the week.
