Robert Dowd heads into Week 6 action on the cusp of putting himself at the top the Elite League's all-time record books.
The Sheffield Steelers and Great Britain forward is just one point shy of equalling, and two of overtaking, Colin Shield's all-time points record. Shields retired on 739 points in his EIHL career - Dowd heads into two games this weekend on 738 having logged six points in his opening five games of the season. The record has stood since 2019.
Sheffield play in Manchester and Coventry this weekend.
Joey Martin, meanwhile, has also moved to within five points of surpassing Jeff Legue's all-time record for points by a non-homegrown player.
