Heard suspended for two games

Clan forward receives suspension

On Wednesday night in Glasgow, Clan forward #13 Mitchell Heard was assessed a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct for Fighting.

After a scrum ensues in front of the net, Clan #13 Mitchell Heard ties up with Blaze #9 Jackson Cressey where both come engaged in a fight. After the fight, Heard then engages further with the next closest opposing player, Blaze #6 Alex Kuqali, who is already tied up with Clan #9 Tyson McLellan. While being restrained by the officials, Heard delivers a “sucker punch” to Kuqali, who is an unsuspecting and unwilling combatant.

It is important to note the time and score of the game, and that this act is not done in the heat of the game but is rather an intentional decision by a player who has lost control. At no time does Kuqali want to become engaged with Heard, who delivers an intentional and dangerous punch to an unsuspecting and unwilling combatant.

To Summarise:

  • Dangerous Puncher - “Sucker-Puncher”
  • Unsuspecting and unwilling combatant
  • Mitchell Heard is now considered a repeat offender

Effective immediately Glasgow Clan forward Mitchell Heard is fined and suspended for two games.
