Devils into Continental Cup Final

Cardiff Devils beat hosts Žilina 4-1 in their second game at the IIHF Continental Cup third round to secure qualification for the Final with a game to spare.

A powerplay marker from Kohen Olischefski put the Devils ahead with 1:33 left in the opening period against the tournament hosts, while Zach O'Brien doubled the lead 9:52 into the second. 

Simon Betak pulled the Slovak side back to within one 3:10 before the end of the middle frame, but a Ben Davies goal 3:24 into period three game the Elite League side some breathing space again. Josh MacDonald made it 4-1 at 47:41 to make the game safe, while the hosts has Patrik Koys ejected for Slew-Footing in the sinal 70 seconds.
