EIHL partners with Pink Ribbon Foundation across March 2025

Game officials will wear special jerseys this month

The Elite Ice Hockey League is proud to be partnering with the Pink Ribbon Foundation across March 2025, raising awareness and funds for the charity. The league’s game officials will be wearing special pink jerseys for the month, which proudly feature the foundation’s pink ribbon logo across the front.

The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment.

"The Pink Ribbon Foundation are delighted to be the beneficiary charity of the Elite Ice Hockey League, in what will be a great way to raise awareness of breast cancer to its members and spectators,” said Lisa J Allen, Head of Corporate Partnerships, PR and Events at the Pink Ribbon Foundation.

"Around 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year, this equates to one person every 10 minutes. People are surviving longer thanks to advances in research, new treatments, earlier diagnosis, breast screening and breast cancer awareness and this is good news!

"This is possible due to the support of many individuals, companies and organisations such as the Elite Hockey League Ice which allow us to be much more hopeful for the future. Donations will help us to continue our vital work and support those women (and a smaller percentage of men) affected by breast cancer and will also be a reminder to everyone to 'know your normal'”.

Liam Sewell, Head of Hockey Operations for the Elite Ice Hockey League added: “We had great success with our Movember campaign earlier this season, which raised over £6,000 for the charity. We’re delighted to be partnering with the Pink Ribbon Foundation across March to raise awareness of their important work."
