Coventry Blaze have signed head coach Kevin Moore to a two-year extension, keeping him at the Skydome until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Moore will also take on the responsibility of Director of Hockey Operations going forward.

The 36-year-old New Jersey native has been a popular figure at the Skydome since arriving for the start of this season, with 24 league wins to their name so far in 44 games, and winning 60% of their Challenge Cup group stage matches. Of his summer recruits, Chase Gresock leads the league for goals; while Nick Seitz, Michael Regush and re-signed Alessio Luciani are all in the league's top ten for points.

"When I was initially hired, I felt like it was a perfect fit and I think it is has proven that as the season has gone on," said Moore. "I’ve loved everything about living and coaching in Coventry. I appreciate our fanbase and how loud the Skydome has been this season. So, I am excited to roll it back and hopefully be here for a long time."

Beyond management of the Blaze, Moore has been deeply involved in the local community, working closely with the junior Blaze academy, delivering training, and fostering player development at the youth level.
