The 2025 Challenge Cup Final takes place on Wednesday 12 March, live from a sold-out SSE Arena in Belfast.
How did we get here?
Belfast were the highest seeds from the group stage, which earned them the right to host the final. They're hosting it on behalf of the Elite League, but their prize for being the top seeds is that the final is a home game.
The Giants beat Nottingham Panthers 3-2 on aggregate in the last round, having won the first leg 3-0 at home. Cardiff Devils came from 5-3 down against Sheffield Steelers to advance 7-6 on aggregate.
How can I watch?
You can join Aaron Murphy and Neil Francis live on EIHL TV for a live stream of the entire game. They'll go live approximately 15 minutes before the game starts. Click here for more details!
How does the Final work?
Belfast, as top seeds, are the home team. This means they get their choice of jerseys and last change.
What happens if we're tied after regulation?
If we need overtime, it will be played 5-on-5 for continuous 20 minute periods until someone scores. This happened at the 2022 Final, also contested by the Giants and Devils. For clarity, there are no shootouts in the Challenge Cup Final.
What about video review?
Video Review in the Challenge Cup Final will be done in the EIHL Situation room for all goal review situations - whether they're initiated by the game officials, or via a Coach's Challenge.
An expanded list of Coach's Challenge situations is also in play in the Final. In addition to goalie interference, coaches can also challenge for a possible offside, or a potential missed game stoppage.
